2022 Board of Directors and Other Initiatives

We would like to get out to you our 2022 Leadership team and other initiatives that weren’t highlighted in the Start of Year Message

(Less than 10% of the 2022 budget is going to administrative expenses, with most of it going into printing)

OTHER INITIATIVES:

1.  Fifty-eight percent (58%) of our expenditures are being returned to members in ‘22 in the form of Education, Wine Evaluation, Vineyard Tours, Equipment, and Special Events.)

  • Along with DFI, bring Professional grape growers and wine makers to Nevada, for education.
  • We are purchasing SO2 meters for members to borrow, allowing you to better manage sulfates.

2.  NEW! Outreach/PR Campaign (25% of our expenditures allocated for Outreach/PR). Outreach will accomplish several objectives, besides educating the public about our wine industry: attract new members (heart of all non-profits), brings more sponsors (bulk of our funds) and supports our goals to grow the Nevada wine and grape industry.

  • Articles about Vineyards (and Wine Making) in HOA magazines (FREE)
  • Articles about NGGW in RGJ and other newspapers (FREE)
  • Articles about NGGW in (10) Nevada Magazines (FREE, $ for small ads)
  • Articles about NGGW in Edible Reno-Tahoe magazine (FREE, $ for small ads)
  • NEW! NGGW Open House (2 in 2022) learn more later

3.  Membership Goals for 2022 (37% of Revenue from Membership in 2022)

  • Regular ($100) Members from 39 > 60 (+21)
  • Associate ($50) Members from 8 > 18 (+10)

4.  Sponsorship Goals (63% of Revenue from Sponsors in 2022)

  • 1 x Platinum ($10,000) UNR CABNR
  • X x Gold ($5,000 – $9,999)
  • X x Silver ($1,000 – $4,999)
  • 6 x Bronze (3 x $250 and 3 x $500)
  • 5 x Vineyard Tour Sponsors/Contributions ($100)

5.  2022 Special Events (20% of Our Expenditures Allocated for Special Events in ‘22)

  • July Sponsors & Members BBQ
  • October – Annual Harvest Dinner
  • October 29th Nevada Day Parade Float
  • December – Holiday Celebration

6. Update the Nevada Vineyard Survey, something we committed to do for DFI.
